Not Tim Kaine expressed that indelicately is irrelevant unless the point is to ignore that underlying fact and focus on a (in your opinion) clumsy messenger. I’d suggest your focus is in the wrong place.

But I’d never object to pointing out to Kaine or anyone else that setting up American slavery is far from all those people did. Which I’m sure Kaine wouldn’t object to, although he was focused on the history of American slavery in these comments. Your focus on Kaine here is, well, snowflakery.
